This is an exact copy of the original poster, we didn't fix any of the tears or damage, we did work with the image to get it to the 18x24 inches size...give or take. If you notice the white borders are not the same size on either side, we chose to leave it like that instead of losing any of the poster image, if you frame or mat it, you'll be able to adjust the borders even to the point of eliminating the white aspect.
At the Library of Congress to see the actual 127 year old poster they say this, "Served only by appointment because the material requires special handling."
Library of Congress speak telling you it is extremely fragile and could fall apart easily...it is not on display for that reason. Please look carefully at the photos, the poster is true to the original in every detail.
We ship it FREE to you rolled up in a sturdy tube with the image wrapped in acid free archival paper...not that it needs it is a poster. but that's how we ship all our photographs or posters.
The Library of Congress ask that we give them credit: "(ca. 1896) Bohemia., ca. 1896. New York: Amlico Pub. Co. [Photograph] Retrieved from the Library of Congress.
We plumb the depths of the Library of Congress looking NOT for the most popular images, but for the rare seldom seen images deep within the system. Our search is limited to posters/advertising/trademark filings from the mid-to late 1700's and all of the 1800's. If you are looking for something special within those guidelines send us a message and we will research, it and try and find it for you within the LOC.
Thank You,
