How we make our Posters: Vintage Series (photos in frames NOT to scale)

The Vintage Series

All of the vintage posters are over 100 years old, many even older than that.

We view 20 to 25 images a month…

…and narrow it down to just a couple of the best based on the subject matter and copyright implications.

We don’t infringe on copywrite material of any kind, simple as that, all the images we work with are done so with the knowledge, and experience of knowing it to be in the public domain.

Once we choose an image, we use state of the art photographic editing programs to bring the poster image as close looking as possible to the original image. The image you see on the site will be the same image you hand on your wall. All of our posters are PRINTED beforehand, we do not do Print On Demand. We see it before you can buy it so that when you click on the poster you would like that is the exact poster you will get shipped to you.

We DO NOT take out any damages…

…or creases, rips, stains, whatever, what you get is an exact replica of the image as the image truly sits. You don’t want a 125 year old image looking like it was made yesterday, you want to preserve it, you want it in its natural state, you want the soul of the image. If you want a poster image to be without warts, our Vintage Series Posters may not be for you. Just a warning ahead of time, truth in advertising and all that.

…all posters ship in a tube, the site explains how to deal with a rolled poster, it has some really good tips.
Obviously, the posters do not come framed, I couldn’t even build a birdhouse in shop class in High School, no way I could build a frame for any of these, least not a frame you would want.
